Job Overview

This position is responsible for the overall warehouse and operations management. The role holder will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively. Ensure competency across all store tasks and activities, whilst progressively driving team members to meet the organization’s goals.

Role And Responsibilities

Warehouse management: Consistency in Managing the store inventory including proper storage and loss prevention. Ensure availability of stock at any given time in collaboration with sourcing and Stores team. Cleanliness and excellent visual commodities presentation at all times. Uphold quality certification at all times i.e. packaging of produces as per relevant regulatory body standards. Responsible for seamless end to end store processes. Proper asset management i.e. crates. Manpower need analysis and recommendation.

Operational Cost Management: In charge of wastage reduction i.e. tallying of orders, ensuring zero mismatch on orders received vs orders dispatched, ensuring proper storage. Management of manpower overhead cost. Responsible for operational excellence i.e excellent shift management and analytical report for decision making purposes.

Tracking and Reporting: Tracking survey feedback from all clients and action accordingly whilst maintaining a steady order pool of clients. Daily tracking of customer orders and ensuring fulfilment. Coordinate daily tracking and submission of invoices to accounts. Responsible for tracking of inventory levels in coordination with store supervisors. Accurate, complete and error free reports on stock levels and consumption data. Report and escalate systemic issues as necessary and in a timely manner. Report any maintenance issues immediately to line manager, including all crates and weighing equipment.

Business Development: Responsible for revenue achieved from direct efforts attributed from apt store management to increase traffic of requisition based on excellent accurate tracking of consumer orders. Ensure wastage reductions based on accurate management of supply schedules.

Leadership and Communication: Performance Management – manage employee performance e.g. routine performance discussions and provision of feedback. determine compensatory rewards, and administer corrective action. Translate strategy into executable plans while motivating your team with clear direction by setting clear goals and KPIs each quarter.

Succession Planning: Develop the next leadership bench in your team through identifying and working with HR in developing your team’s talent potential e.g. coach, mentor and facilitate development of direct reports.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, or equivalent.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • 4 -5 years relevant experience in Business administration with 1 year at leadership level.
  • Good knowledge of people management.
  • Complete knowledge of all the fruits and vegetables that Kyosk Fresh deals with, including scope of adopting new products e.g.: tofu on the platform.
  • Complete knowledge of the best storage practices for each product. Optimal storing practices, shelf life for each product.
  • Complete understanding of stock levels / designated supervisors and their roles, stores assistants and their roles, as well as all other staff members who are reporting directly to the head of stores and the deputy including drivers.
  • Powerful leading skills and business orientation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience with preparing budgets, and financial and expense reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of product and consumer trends, and marketing strategies.
  • Full understanding of client’s invoicing requirements.
  • Familiarity with applicable labour laws, and retail health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
